The MXB Wire FYE2024 Budget Straw Poll Results

Seventeen members of the community responded to the straw poll on the FYE2024 budget within six hours of its release. [1] Unfortunately, the initial survey campaign, e-mail message, that was sent by a marketing service, included a broken link and none of the respondents who received that particular e-mail message responded though many attempted to do so many times. However, a few individuals who received the follow up e-mail message from the MXB Wire Contact management service regarding the survey did respond.

Of the 17 respondents, all answered that they wanted to see the drainage ditch work to be "paused". Of the 17 respondents 3 were in favor of keeping the assessment as is and diverting the funds that were to be spent on drainage ditch work to the capital reserve. Of the 17 respondents 6 said that they attended the virtual town hall meeting where as 10 said that they did not. Of the 17 respondents only 4 want the board to revert to the FYE2023 budget should the FYE2024 budget be voted down. Ten want the board to start the process over.

The MXB Wire and its partner, Open Systems Group, LLC, will attempt to conduct a fresh campaign with a revised survey of the community, starting at 12:15 AM today, Tuesday, April 11, 2023. If you responded to the initial survey, please resubmit your answers on the revised survey, so that we have a fresh dataset. Other than a correction to the preamble, the survey has not changed from yesterday.
